The Hyper Compe-D Twin Cerametallic Clutch is Exedy’s answer to the demands of full-weight, high-power street and track cars that push well beyond the limits of a single disc setup. Designed for competitive use with a nod to street drivability, the Compe-D provides lightning-fast engagement, minimal slip, and extreme torque capacity—without stepping into the realm of triple-disc complexity. This is a no-compromise solution for serious builds running forced induction, engine swaps, or high-revving NA configurations.

At its core, the Compe-D uses dual cerametallic discs—an ultra-durable friction material known for its fade resistance and rapid heat dissipation. This gives the system consistent bite even during repeated launches, hard downshifts, or extended time on the limiter. Unlike organic or Kevlar-based clutches, cerametallic discs excel in managing the high thermal loads and abuse commonly found in time attack, drift, and circuit racing.

Despite its motorsport credentials, Exedy designed the Compe-D to be more manageable than a traditional race-only setup. The sprung center hubs help absorb drivetrain shock, keeping NVH in check while preserving drivetrain longevity.
