HRD Mainshaft Thrust Measurement Tool for Honda B/K Series

Introducing the HRD Honda B/K series Mainshaft Thrust Measurement Tool, an essential companion for transmission rebuilding.

This tool allows you to accurately measure the main shaft thrust on your Honda's B or K series transmission, which is mandatory when swapping gearsets, especially on high-power builds with aftermarket gear sets. This is a must-have for any DIY transmission builder or professional mechanic.

This tool is both CAD designed and machined in-house from an extremely strong 7075-T6 alloy aluminum. The clamps are bead blasted and anodized HRD Midnight Navy with type II anodizing, providing both an attractive finish and added protection against wear and tear. Titanium hardware is also included with the tool.

Notably, our mainshaft thrust measurement tool is fully compatible with B series and K series transmissions, ensuring broad compatibility across a wide range of transmission models for any Honda enthusiast.

Crafted from 7075 Aluminum

7075-T6 aluminum has a significantly higher tensile strength (about 74,000 psi) compared to 6061-T6 aluminum (about 42,000 psi). This superior strength makes 7075 better suited for tools subjected to high loads or stresses, such as those measuring mainshaft thrust, where precision under pressure is critical.

The increased stiffness of 7075 ensures minimal deformation during measurement, providing more accurate and repeatable results with each transmission rebuild you undergo.

Improved Wear Resistance

7075 aluminum has higher hardness compared to 6061, which makes it more resistant to wear and abrasion. This is particularly important for a thrust measurement tool that may experience repeated contact with hard surfaces or components under significant pressure.

Dimensional Stability

Due to its higher strength and stiffness, 7075 maintains its shape and dimensions better than 6061 under load. For a precision tool, dimensional stability ensures consistent readings and minimizes the need for recalibration over time.
